An Impossible Desire

There are things we chase even when we know they can never be ours. We tell our friends to let go, accept reality, and move forward. Yet when it is our own heart, we struggle to follow the same advice. Perhaps knowing the truth is easier than accepting it. So we keep walking, holding on to an impossible desire, hoping that somehow it will become real. Until we finally understand that some things were never meant to be found, no matter how long we chase them. Some things cannot be forced. They must come freely, or they were never meant for us at all.
